Britain's most successful gymnast ever, Beth Twedlle, will perform the official opening ceremony of The Norfolk Academy of Gymnastics on Sunday 6th January. The opening day will consist of a session for some of the club's young gymnasts under Beth's watchful eye in the morning, followed by a question and answer session when the children will have the chance to quiz Beth about her journey to the very top of the sport. She will also be bringing along some of her many medals and trophies to show to the children (Beth was the 2006 world and european champion on asymetric bars, has been overall British champion a record 7 times and was 3rd in the 2006 BBC Sports personality of the year) - what an inspiration. The ceremony itself gets underway at 1.30pm with a display from the girls competition squads and the official opening by Beth. There are a few remaining tickets for the - anyone interested should contact Sara-Jane on 07760412442 or sara-jane.inglis@tnag.co.uk. Classes get underway on Monday 7th January as planned and invoices for the first term are being sent out currently. We have had difficulties in contacting some of those that initially registered an interest in the club - if you did so and have not been contacted with details of how to formally reserve your place, please contact us - the classes are filling up fast! - info@tnag.co.uk
